I don't really think an ancient loom was THAT complex, theirs no real 'power train' in the thing, no gears or springs, about all they have are perhaps pulleys. I don't think the material list is a problem and trying to make it larger and more cumbersome isn't the right approach, people can still put in just 15 branches.

At very least, have sign posts decay. As annoying as this may get for dealing with large, expensive constructions, it's simply absurd to see stacks of signposts throughout the woods that say "nobody touch this, I'm making a loom".

Maybe if a sign gets hit by decay, it looses one item, starting with the cheapest? But I'm sure J&L can come up with a new one some time.
Surprise.

i like using them for mass storage. and what happens with things like houses?

If theirs hundreds of items in the house construction/pile its going to take a long time to lose them to decay hits.

Still those construction sites are an annoying way to store stuff, their big and your constantly running into the invisible corners. How about a new construction called "Heap" it takes no material to build and no skill to make, once the first item is placed in it then it becomes a "heap of that type" and can store a large number of items of that type (two or three cupboard worth perhaps), and their is a graphic to reflect what it's holding (object types are limited by available graphics). The downside is that it takes decay hits when outside and losses 1 item each hit and its 2x2 so its a bit tricky though not impossible to use indoors. Basically this is the "Bin" idea I proposed earlier just bigger and without the bin. I could easily see people using these for things like wood blocks, branches, stone, straw, ore all sorts of bulk stuff that people routinely put in piles in real life.

Sounds like a whole lot of work for a whole lot of nothing.

ps. why do you people feel some pressing need to make suggestions that are purely inconveniences

This!
I personally use a palisade cornerpost to storage woodblocks and a wicker basket to storage branches...
I've got only a log cabin and i need my cupbords to storage other things!

The easiest way to solve this "loom-LP-grinding" problem is to give LP's only for constructions, which you have totally built, like it is if you craft something. You earn only LP's if you complete something. Or make it so that, if you have added all the things you need for a loom, only then you can use the "build" button and earn LP's for this.

Or you reduce the LP/time while building and different items have different LP's received at the moment of completion only. I don't know however, how you will cater for LP distribution if more than one toon builds a single item, but not all said toons are still building at the time of completion.

what happens if you hunt the same animal with a few people?
and what happens if someone stops fighting - when the animal is dead, he earns LP's too?

Nothing happens when more people battle one creature, except that it dies faster.
Do note, that taming animals is only possible when fighting them 1-on-1.

If someone breaks combat, he'll get no LP.

Looms, with their long build time, are indeed nice to grind some LP. That is, until you learn to hunt. There is no reason to grind looms, after you have 20 marksman or so. Hunting = better LP + rescources.
