Which, if kept in pots, will die.

If kept there forever, yes, but if you move them to a bigger pot when they grow, give them good soil and enough water they will survive.

Also ill stop posting here now sorry lol

I though most plants just stop growing when their roots 'fill' the pot, so long as their watered they are fine in the pot and if planted in the ground or moved to a bigger pot they continue growing again. Would simply having the potted tree require some water once and a while to live and it can continue in that 'ready to plant' state indefinably, heck you should even be able to put it on the ground and admire it as a decoration.

I do like the idea of just sticking seeds in the ground, its intuitive. Perhaps seeds stuck in the ground have 75% death rate and no quality incresse so can just spam them over an area if all you want is a new forest of q10 lumber. A potted tree that's ready to plant is guaranteed to live and gets quality bonuses from soil/water used. So both methods have their purpose and use.

There is a case to be made that the trees should probably stay alive somewhat longer on herbalist tables. On the whole, tree planting rocks, though.

Not just a case but a Mandate from GOD! Or a fanatical belief by myself, one of the two.

On the whole, tree planting rocks, though.

I agree that other than the damn trees dying on the table, it's fine as-is.

Judging from the current estimates on the age of the universe, you are getting a wee bit old. Time to start taking some ginko, me thinks.

trees and herbilist tables

Postby joojoo1975 » Mon Apr 12, 2010 4:02 am

Greets.

It would seem to me that trees are one of your foudational building block for this game. I would ask to only use the H. table to increase quality of seeds by a modifier. and to allow us to plant tree seeds like we do any other crop/plants
