"Your building site is obstructed. Please try again once the obstruction is gone." :) Alternatively, make it so that you can't shoot over construction sites. Though in both cases, you'd also need to improve the ranged combat system, since unless you spend a lot of lp on it it takes a while even to aim a sling, and makes the walling-in method pretty much vital.

I got a question for you guys, who seem to want to make trapping animals with flags impossible.

Why do you need to trap animals in the first place?
Isn't this a more pressing concern?

"Trapping makes melee combat useless"

If you want to use melee combat simply don't trap it

Then it stays inside the same way logs stay in houses if you fell a tree on one. :)

Easy option is to NUKE EVERYTHING within the box when construction is completed... and also to make construction signs rot like everything else so they disappear after a while (If you want to get fancy, have the resources in a construction sign reduce by 10% every day or something until it finally disappears).\

Yeah, there's that too.

I assume you mean of the total construction cost? Because otherwise, it will never finally disappear ;)

Also, ouch. I certainly wouldn't want to spend more than a day constructing a stone mansion...
