He could, if he wanted, store two dreamcatchers in his boat's hold and set up a new little claim around it every time he stopped, but that's a major hassle. We need some sort of object-based claim system as an alternative. Perhaps make it so he can use some dreams to enchant his boat with the same sort of power as a claim. This would allow him to own any space in say a 5x5 area around his boat, and when it's stopped he could pay a little LP to extend it out to say... 11x11? This allows him to be a traveler and yet have possessions. Currently there's no way to roam like that unless you want to either set up a new claim every time you log off or just do it all on foot with nothing but a backpack and your inventory. The later works ok but it really can't be done as seriously.
If we had some sort of mobile claim alternative which was limited in size but gave the person at least enough space to keep a hold of their things (granted this would work better with a larger boat that had more space in it) then perhaps you'd find people who prefer the wandering lifestyle of mapping and foraging and exploring for hidden things more than the life of homesteading for wheat fields.
But what if someone is driving with the boats claim activated? Whats if you frive into someone elses claim. No I got a better idea (though a bigger boat such as a house boat is fine with me) You get a woodblock and carve it into a small stamp which you then dip in wax. You make ink and then can stamp any object that hasnt been stamped and your name will always be there unless either A you remove it yourself or B your wiped off this map.
