With the right know-how, decent marksmanship, and a decent sling? Yes. Boring as hell until you get something higher than 'decent' but easy.

As a fresh newbie? Not so much. Not to mention those fuckers look scary to the uninitiated. There's also the possibility they aren't near a grassland/heath/moor and are unaware of terraforming or unable to spare the seeds for it (which I should have mentioned in my last post but blah, morning).

But that does touch on the possibility of CON not being an extremely-early-game stat or requiring a certain degree of 'system mastery' to come by at that stage.
