Safe havens have been suggested several times as well, but since there never was any reaction by loftorb I guess they are not too fond of this idea either. One of the fundamental game ideas is that you won't be completely safe anywhere unless logged out without any criminal history.
The reason I picked "religion" was because I was trying to come up with a creative solution to make smaller/new villages a little safer, because currently living alone appears to be a safer way to conserve your character(unless you're one of the top players..).
There is no need to be shallow-minded about the concept of safe havens, so in respect to the tension against religion/buffs and game fundamentals, i'll change the direction completely.
- Earlier suggested (guard)dogs, which only attack other players when a crime was done against you.
- Stone or concrete walls.
Anything that slows raiders down should do.
Who ever said you should be safe? It's supposed to be hard to get started,
that's the point.I'm sorry but this game is the best I've played in a long time, and religion ingame would completely ruin it for me and most people I know. That kind of crap needs to stay in real life and not infect games (on both sides that is, what I mean mostly is the whole religion vs non religion stuff).
The ancestor deal is pretty cool and I'd even accept some dieties related to the games lore, but that's about it man, not no "Derp I'm rolling christian!"
