Potatoes and corn. Quite versatile vegetables that you can craft many things with. And we seriously need more fruits that we can raise. The only fruits that we can farm so far is just grapes.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.

Well... There was no potatoes in Europe, and almost all of mine didn't existed there in that time. But something should be added, for sure.

Agreed. Ought to be plenty of plants like mint and other useful herbs that simply weren't grown mass scale that would fit as foragables. I'd also like to see cranberries in swampy areas. Swamps are pretty empty apart from the random lonely willow and leeches. Mint for teas, home remedies, and cookies or other confections, cranberries for juice, sauces, jelly, etc. Cranberry wine?

Garlic, parsley, leek, turnip, sugar beet, rape, spinach, broad bean, barley, oats, rye.

As for trees, I'm still waiting for plums :x
Oh, and pears, quinces, walnuts, chestnuts, apricots, peaches and cherries would be nice, too.

IIRC he also said they have planned a model for introducing new trees without a map reset (I'm guessing something like WWW), but it never materialized :(
