Show if damage is being done when destroying

I'm not really a fan, seeing numbers pop up isn't that great. Really I don't think they should even show for animals they should just have states. States should be more obvious, but that's been brought up everywhere.

Same. While I do not want to see H&H getting all numbered up, I still want to see if i do _some_ damage. And while "states" would work nicely on animals, buildings would either require dozens of states or there would be too much damage between one state and the next. Maybe show some debris sprites whenever damage beyond soak is done?

Re-using the animal 'move' sprite (black powder flying?) would work great as a temporary measure.

Something specific would work great later on (not specific to the item, but specific to the type) as woodchips for wood items, the 'black char' for bricks/clay, and other items. It would complement states (only item needs a few) very well.

what is really usefull of this topic, is just the possibility to know WHEN you'r ABLE to do some damage to walls, or animals(if you wanna remove numbers.)

To have this without numbers, you'll needs lots of Sounds, Animations for each quality of hit you give, etc.
Numbers are Metagame, but to avoid numbers you should have another way to see the effects of your hits. (Blood over the bear or scratchs on the walls.)

For now, let's enjoy the number system, yeah? XD
