+5 to Claim authority - so many unused claims littering the places around my village!

if they are around your village why don't you just go "revoke the privilege" on them?

Since in case someone stored plenty of LP into a claim it can get tricky to impossible to get enough authority to revoke it.

At one point i had 100k LP in a claim, do the math what you would need to revoke that.

Updated my initial post in this thread to make it more clear that i want to see a claim shrink till gone when maintenance isn't performed.

Sorry, I wasn't clear - I didn't mean they were in my village, I meant they are spread around nearby, looking all ugly/red and yet not allowing me to fix them/destroy stuff/salvage usable items without leaving scents. If they shrunk up with authority drain, resources could be used by others, recycled, instead of full houses of items going *poof* and resources wasted.

Reuse, recycle, less resources...I know, I'm a hippie.

Maybe the devs don't want people to build houses on top of the claims rendering them unaccessible by their own builders or something like that?

Granger and grog have a point, I started a different thread regarding removal of unused claims spread out and not under a village authority. This would clean up area's and free up possible resources people need. I don't see why everything else has authority or decay to it except claims. People who come in test the game out and leave claims if nothing else is just simply annoying.

Can or will the devs implement something or not. My area is littered with this eyesore, not to mention what griefers could do with claims and a little bit of LP.

It would improve the game's aesthetics at the very least. (and maybe improve the server's resources for processing all this unused crap to prevent all this lag, I am not a computer geek but it sounds good)

Actually, I have found the blocking and indestructible properties of the stake to be quite useful, i.e. for blocking off an alternate entrance to the cave where you make cheese.... I don't have to check on it, I don't have to waste time building walls that are going to decay anyway. It's not that much of a hassle to move it.

@Salinn
As far as leaving a scent: if it's really as unused as you claim, it shouldn't worry you that much. I raid abandoned claims pretty often without any repercussions as of date.

I say leave them as is.

AFAIK, objects need to have a bounding box if you want to interact with them.
