Fuck yes to wind mill and watermill.

I would not mind corn or cotton at all if it fits the genre/timeline

corn isnt lore friendly to the game, niether is cotton. the game takes place in slavic/germanic areas of the world. it would be neat, but I think either Jorb or Loftar or both said they were including historically important plants and items. (the argument for not adding potatoes. also potatoes, up until recently were thought to be garbage food, fit only for animals and the very very poor.) pepper and tobacco were both major imports in there time, not sure about pumpkins though. tobacco comes in a shitton varieties, and the stuff will grow anywhere a tomato will. Im babbling. fuck. as for windmills and watermills, that's pretty kickass.

Wind/watermills, yes. Just toss the seeds in one end, pick up flour from the other, no effort needed. And don't light a torch inside.

There is a problem, though: querns are already pretty automatic and, assuming you have the seedbags and toss the flour that comes out somewhere, you can make a pretty much unlimited amount of it. So, we need a way to make mills more desired. I see two ways:

1. Make it average the quality of input grain: that way, if most of your grain is low quality, but you have some higher-q mixed in with it, you get a uniform above-average flour. The opposite is also true, however, so you have to control what goes in.
2. Give it a chance to make more flour per unit of grain, depending on the Industry belief of (The guy who built it? Who activated it? Who put in the grain? Who was just passing by?). 50% of turning 2 units of grain into 2 units of flour at +5 Industry seems fair.

1)No one is stupid enough to make the average unweighted, so that's pointless.
2)Pretty good idea, requiring 2 characters, one with high farming and full Nature, the other full Industry...

If by "unweighted" you mean "tossing a single q200 grain into a full barrel of q1 makes q100 flour", than of course not. The formula is your standard average (combined_ql/amount). It's by no means supposed to make a huge difference.
(And probably not that good an idea to begin with, but there must be something to go with the beliefs dependency)
