It's a very well thought-out idea, but I have a suggestion. If you play as a Dogman, I think that your hearthfire should be a fire hydrant instead of a hearthfire. You should also be able to have night vision and the ability to walk/run twice as fast as humans since you have four legs (five if you're a guy).

ofcourse, it makes sense. in this world we humans never tamed dog, we became(!) the dogs. 
oh and yeah firehydrants as hearth fires is a good idea.
