Extended cornerposts differ in cost from originally built ones.

Giving LP for disassembling items could be exploited (build, disassemble, build, disassemble, repeat) so maybe we should just be happy with getting a little bit of the stuff back. Maybe palisade cornerposts shouldn't be able to be disassembled, only destroyed, and you should only be able to disassemble things that make sense to disassemble, like wicker baskets, crates, firepiles, lean-tos, boats, wagons, but maybe only destroy things like urns, cauldrons, meatgrinders, etc.

Generic restore q/amount?

It doesnt matter what the q of the material for the cornerpost is, nor whether it was the first. Cornerposts simply return X number of material at q10. No need to save the data.

I think it would be both really cool and historically apropriate to allow scavenging of sites. Look at the Danemark, Hadrians wall, or the pyramids, for a couple examples...

I actually thought of something like this recently. But my idea is when destroying something, you'll have a chance to get part of the materials back. Accidentally make a basket? Destroy it and have a, say, 1 in 5 chance of receiving a material back. And it would be the base building materials. IE, make a brick wall, destroy it and only get bricks back. Then, the harder the material, and damage soak, the less chance you have. If you have a brick wall, you would get a, say 1 in 20 chance to get a brick back.
Quality? Not sure how that would work out.

But this idea would be very nice for items. Accidentally make an extra sling or something, get it back.

i'm curious as to how you accidently make a sling or a basket.

I think you would have to be extrememly selective as to what you could disassemble. i can understand pulling that chair apart and using it for a fire, but then using bits to build your axe or most items out of it is unlikely. also anything fired in a kiln wouldn't be able to be disassembled. i think its just too much effort to make it logical.
