i know what they need. character reset because people just joining now are screwed. there are people that have murder and can kill them with 2 shots with an arrow.
If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good you'll here it. If it's marketed right you'll buy it. But if it's real..... you'll feel it. - Kid Rock

A full character reset? No. Just... no. But if they could wipe the black skills from EVERYONE (so everyone has to learn them with the new costs), and leave everything else alone, then that'd work.

As much as I hate the idea of four straight weeks of grinding for skills, refunding points in those skills before removing them would be one attempt to even the field.

Only a reset could truly even the field, though. And if you're losing both a map and your guys within a week or two, there wouldn't be much point to playing until afterward.

Seriously people, you don't ruin your entire older player-base just because some people decided that they don't think it's fair that the a bunch of players got a few skills cheaper than some others.

There have always been people who have the murder skill that can two shot newbies with arrows, or even one hit them with a sword.

I didn't say it, but I meant with refund, if feasible.

Combat in a permadeath environment should never be trivial - there should always be something even the rawest character can do to defend themselves. And oneshotting is definitely trivial.

You would rather stagnate the game because "I'VE BEEN HERE LONGER YOU FUCKING PEONS"? This is what happens to most MUDS.

No. Do not put words in my mouth. You are all overreacting about this recent update. The game is not becoming stagnant, just because they temporarily increased the LP costs for a few nonessential skills. This update is not a good reason to wipe all of the characters in the game. That is what I said in my post.

Perhaps you should consider actually playing the game and getting your stats high enough to BE a thief. Expecting to come into a game where PvP is possible and go thief right away with low stats is retarded.

Also, this is an alpha, and the devs have already stated that changes can come quickly and at any time. The stats now cost more, get over it. It's an alpha.

Besides, players who have been here longer should be stronger than you. That's how it works. Those with more playtime are more powerful.
