It's not exactly internet transhighway one in here. That's why there's a suggestion forum. Yeah, I'm telling Loftar how his game should be if he should wish to expand the appeal a little. It's called engaging in an argument - something you have a lot to learn about if you think there's ever a point to saying "You're just butthurt"

TBH I thought he'd have considered this and take the suggestion as an indicator that his game, despite being alpha, was reaching a stage where perhaps this should be implemented. Thought he might have read something about game design which explains why EVERY OTHER roleplaying game has this feature.

But I guess it's all the others who are wrong. I forgot the way developers become these sort of deities on their own messageboards. Very disappointed that someone who, at least on his other game, should know something about being a professional is encouraging this sort of stuff.

Oooooh, let me guess, you're a highly successful professional game developer? Haven't had one of those in like two weeks.

And there is no higher imperative in game design than conforming to industry standards and forgoing your niche position to make another WoW clone and then act surprised when it doesn't do better than the other million WoW clones.

where should we begin to expand appeal through character customization? shall it be hairstyles? more variety in clothing perhaps? nay, for i tell you it is skin color that is of paramount importance. let us start there

The point of the suggestion is that, in a Eurocentric gaming world, it'd be a really inclusive thing to do this. The racism is systemic.
Here's the thing. I never actually accused anybody of being racists. You guys determined that one all by yourselves.
Guilty conscience much?

Oh, please, give me a break. First of all, racism accusations have been thrown already, even if not by you, and it is rather obvious that this is weighing positively on your side, even if not explicitly. Second, this is not supposed to be an "inclusive" game, it's based on Europe. People have suggested expanding before, nobody wants it. Deal with it. The only thing that's sustaining this discussion is that you insist that skin color is the most important thing in the world. Well, hell, any other suggestions with this amount of disagreement were quickly rejected. Any other suggestions that ran away from an European setting have also been quickly rejected. Why shouldn't this, are you special? Why are you still sustaining this garbage after all these pages, when even loftar came here saying that he would rather keep this a game with an European setting? Skin color is not important, we don't even have any customization at all. Pretend you're playing an albino black person, that or sit and cry, it's not going to happen.

Listening to white people being obtuse about race issues isn't nearly as amusing as it would seem.

Don't piss on my back, kiddo. You called me 'butthurt' and used two or three other techniques to ridicule my position without actually bringing anything constructive or clarifying into it. I know when someone's trying to humiliate me so wipe off the cherub smirk.

SpiderJerusalem wrote:gavla.you suggested something.a lot of people, including the dev disagreed.you don't accept it.thats pretty butthurt in my opinion.

I wasn't aware you had to change your opinion because an internet forum voted against it.

SpiderJerusalem wrote:but you don't want to play a white person because you aren't white and thats something I can't understand

Do you always react with such defensiveness and malice to things you don't understand?

SpiderJerusalem wrote:btw if you were white your suggestion would have been different.

Because somehow the idea of a Person of Colour being assertive about their different view and experience is more offensive than the actual change I suggested?

And where exactly did I say I wasn't?
