How long did it take till Jackard made the only polite reply ?!? And how many harsh replys where made first before he answered the same ...

You called into the woods when he wrote that he isn't interested in verbal skirmishes and got the reply ...

Btw. you're the foreigner - even while this forum uses english language ("lowest common denominator" atm) it's made by swedes and hosted in germany ... which means europe and guess whose home that is ... ;)

If I'm the forehner then why aren't you defending me? aren't I brave for posting on forums that aren't my native tongue?

Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Back to actual suggestions. Some form of Banner/flag as a holdable object would be nice. A white flag to hold if you're going up to a strangers town to show you're legitimately interested in talking and to lessen the chance of "White dot on map>search>destroy>ask about it on forums.

It would still be down to a matter of "is this person trying to trick me into letting my guard down or just scoping out my town" But it would be useful now that we're being encouraged to be friendly with strangers unless we want to end up playing alone. (Talking about the new h.s system or lack thereof)

Something cheap and easy to make relatively early game in a basic form, but hopefully customize-able later on if that is a thing in hafen

Let us reflect upon the good he was able to do during his short time in the hearthlands.
Let us remind ourselves of his bravery and willingness to fight for the safety of his friends!
Let us hope he can surpass his previous achievements in his future lives.

the only way a parley flag would actually be worth anything would be if it prohibited the holder from agroing/shooting anyone, that way you would know for sure this player doesn't mean to attack. not sure if that in itself is a good idea though

I think it would be better off being worth nothing in that sense. So it's still up to players to choose whether to be a dick or not. I imagine If you were to be the one who aggro'd someone trying to parley you'd be considered as bad as trade oath killers.
There is also making it a 2handed item, so they can't hold weapons.
I just think that with the changes to make alt'ing less favorable and (so far as we know) The removal of hearth secrets to give someone you've never met the ability to pm you in game, We need something that can at least go a little way into showing an intention, because we wont be able to just send out an alt or leave a h.s on a runestone etc.

And what features do you mean? Dying of old age? Need for space? I'm not a fan of breeding cows, but I know many people likes it.

Its a hobby, but no, while i would not mind the old-age thing, but yannow, simple stuff. Like being able to brand your livestock so people can't just run off or kill them without any consequences. Or hitch them to a plow and improve your farmin' ability dramatically. Maybe some means of herding them around so they can live off of grazing and stuff, instead of being cooped up in in a fence-gate trap and living exclusively off of a trough of raw pumpkin. (And somewhat sillier idea: Give livestock their own FEP bars, so they gain FEP depending on what you feed them). Or the ability to herd them into caverns and stuff for safety (and underground settlements)

Simple stuff like that. There are quite a few of them littering this board.
