The point is that, as five people have said here, Whites AREN'T offended.
They don't need to get offended in order to get private, independent parties, like the designers of games, to put in the effort it takes to make them feel like they're basically included.

Try another game then. This is an European-themed game. Maybe start designing your own? Do something instead of whining and trying to restrict everyone's creative liberties to suit your own interests?

Okay, what do you want to be offended about, then?
What is it that so encroaches on your comfort and wellbeing so much that you get to be 'offended' in a way that's similar to the way racism is 'offensive'?
Be offended, go on.

For your information, I've been bullied my whole life for being pale-skinned in a majorly mestiço area from Brazil. Do I go around whinning about it everywhere like a drama queen? No.

I'm not the government, I can't restrict anybody's creative liberties.
If you really think the idea is petty 'whining' and insignificant and nothing more than 'interests' then fine.
If you think that the thematic coherency is more significant and a more important 'interest' than that, fine.
Easy enough to say when you don't care yourself.

This quote seems to indicate that you find standing up for better treatment to be a negative thing - whining and drama queening.

If you did go public and 'be offended' as in demand to be treated with more respect, I sure wouldn't shout you down and criticise your perspective and give my dumb opinion. I wouldn't say "I get bullied worse at x" or "y happens to me and I don't whine" or "z gets it worse" and tell you to shut up.

Why bother being negative?

You're trying to, obviously, since you don't drop this like any other idea that's been suggested and rejected. When did I say you can do anything by the way? I'm just defending my point of view.

Whose interest? Yours and LimaZulu's? Why is it "more important", as you said yourself, than everyone else's, even the developers'? All of the other ones here seem to have shown interest on keeping the game as it currently is.

Not at all. Standing up for better treatment is one thing, trying to change the world so that it better suits your interests regardless of what others think is much different.

Wait, what? I just said that because you asked for something to compare to racism.

I knew I should have said inb4 race traitor. Demanding equality isn't self hatred.

Oh, please. He said he thinks it's creepy to only see whites around, what sane self-loving white person would say that? And what the hell, there is already equality in the game, he's the one trying to add differences. And I wonder how long it'll take for someone to begin justifying their self-hatred with slavery.

I grew up in a mostly non-white area. It still weirds me out that my university is majority white. Thinking outside the box isn't your strong point, is it?

UGH. And this is why when people say that Americans are the only racists in the world, I tell them to stop taking stupid pills.

but...what about the asiatic groups such as the mongols which during many times in history trampled across much of Europe or, middle eastern ethnic groups which have been shown to have traveled extensively OR the Basse people who were known for travelling as far as the Americas?

Um, the two don't have to be mutually exclusive. The fact that many people don't believe in racial equality is not reason to change the world to reflect it, since there are certain instances when democratic action is not viable.

Another shit arguemnt technique - ad hominem. You suggesting that unless you're succesful and professional you can't possibly have any valid input? Why come to the suggestions forum at all? Why bother giving your own dumb opinion in the first place?

You kinda appealed to (your own) authority there, buddy, you don't get to call people out on logical fallacies.

Anyway, I wouldn't expect to be able to play a white character in a game set in medieval Japan, and I certainly wouldn't be offended because my race was excluded.

From the about page, again.

I grew up in a mostly non-white area, and I have no problem with places which are majorly white. Seriously, if you have, then you have a problem, not everyone else.

Just because it is set in a fictional world it doesn't mean that anything is possible. Gee, do you see Dragon Ball characters in Star Wars?
