Just because it's a fictional world doesn't mean it must have zero artistic consistency. I mean, if it's so loosely inspired, why not add orcs and dwarves and reptilians as player races?

Logically, because if you don't have a problem than no one else in your situation does. Because your anecdote beats mine, amirite?

So asking for more skin tone diversity is comparable to fantasy crossovers and high fantasy additions. I see. Wait, no, that's bullshit. There's no reason not to add tone diversity, when there is reason not to change the theme of the game: low fantasy/ archaic survival elements are not harmed by inclusion of varied skintones, but are harmed by additions of high fantasy elements like mystical creatures and shit. Well, besides trolls and nymphs.

I think what this world truly lacks, in terms of alternate races, is furries. Where are the cat-people when you need them to add spice to a germano-slavic setting?
I should probably warn myself for this post.

Okay, so because you have a problem the whole world has to change? Everyone has their problems.

Yes it is, and it's already been state a million times, and don't quote that "loosely" bullshit again, because it doesn't make a point. Trolls and nymphs are of European Mythology, if you haven't yet noticed, which is okay for the setting.

Alochtonous races are more of a fantasy than creatures featuring prominently in folklore of the native population. It basically denies the existence of ethnic identity of European peoples. You're basically saying that my people don't have their own unique cultural identity, because people from all over the world have the exact same clothing, architecture, beliefs and folklore.

If black people were added, they should represent a different culture, something inspired by the likes of Nubians or Ethiopians or whatever. And while those people certainly have a culture as rich as Europeans, their geographic region simply falls out of the scope of the game.

I never once said that. I was disagreeing with your whole argument that white people would never say white people creep them out. It happens.

Tobacco, Tea, Silkworms, et cetera, are not indigenous to the region, nor were they present at the represented time.

Until the devs feel like adding more magical beings, that's how it's going to be. And what is this "precedence over European culturethings crap"? I'm saying add a couple different skintones. That does nothing to deny your precious heritage, especially since it's loosely based on the folklore. It isn't the realworld in videogame form with the folklore as its guiding star.

And yeah, Grelf, I'm going to reference the the loosely, because it's what the Devs said, so it's what they meant. Don't bullshit me on this.

No, you're disrespecting my motherfucking diversity. It does deny my heritage, because it assigns it to people who had nothing to do with it.

Because in a fictional world loosely based upon said folklore, your people, who don't even actually exist in the history of the game, actually played a role, correct?

Correct.

Thanks for playing.
