The box only comes up the first time you turn on swimming. After that it's just a toggle, like criminal acts.

I agree on removing the hotkey for swimming, Having to actually click it would be much safer. There are a couple of other hotkeys that should be removed too, like travel to hearth. I triggered that once when a party request popped up while I was typing in chat, moving he input focus to the interface.

Yup.

Well I actually use that one a lot, but in such a case you can action bar it, so I fully support this as well.

Okay i get your point but up to this moment i had never visited the forums for anything except the combat guide i never read any newbie guide and b4 i read the combat guide, as a newb,i bought swimming. For the moment i can't say i am mad i restarted nonetheless ,it sucks i must add, becuase i have people that want to play with me. All i'm asking is to make swimming not kill the character but have it knock itself out. and have to wait till your stamina recovers or have it slowly eat away at your health till you reach shore or ultimately kill yourself out of wanting to die(i know it's redundant but accidents happen). the only thing that got to me was the whole laggggggggggggggg ....... oh my char select screen (and me going WTF!!!! i was walking to shore).

Swimming isn't suicide if you know how/when to use it. And yes it is suicide and makes offing your character easy.
My motions are swift as a eagle, on my worst day I am still Lethal. No challenge, only start me when you learn the ripples of a butterflies heartbeat.
