You don't think it would be an improvement without that? Personally I think it would be an improvement for the aesthetics alone

Would certainly be even without, but with FOFs it would be awesome.

Sweet! New map, its getting back my interest in this game.

Onto the drama, I love it! Seriously that was the funniest thing I have read on the internet in a month.
Goons should stay and are real people, they have helped games before and add flavor to the game.

Apparently the first place I posted this has become another drama thread, so here goes:

I for one am dying with curiosity for the new map. I know it's too much to ask for a map of any sort of the new world at this point, but could we know a little bit about it? Will there be islands or seas? Places that can only be accessed or crossed by boat?

Can we expect to see similar terrain distribution? I.E., mostly grass with 40% other terrain? Or something more organic?

How infinite will it be? I'm sure you realize that players will try to reach tile -100,000,000:100,000,000 and 100,000,000:-100,000,000. Will this be possible? Will the server melt?

Oh, and what's the plan for cliffs? Are the coherent now?
Surprise.

We're both taking some long overdue exams this week, so development is slow. We'll be working Friday, I hope (Aug. 21st). I'll try to put together a little preview after that session.
