Would you mind completing your simile? What exactly is like negotiating with terrorists? I fail to see any relation to the topic at hand.

Anyway, to answer the question the thread puts forth and with my limited knowledge I would have to say when someone asks and the Devs
agree that a resurrection is an appropriate action.

Now either let the shitposts continue, or we can actually try to answer that question in more detail.

Saying that the action taken sets a slippery precedent ignores the other side of the problem. If the situation had been ignored, then the precedent would have been set that avoiding in game crime response measure (scents) would have been ok.

You continue to use the excuse "Rage was hacked" as your justification for the resurrection. This is where the whole areguement fails, because you are relying on ElGato's word of mouth that he "hacked" Rage. Except, this is where the deifinition of "hacked" is getting extremely blurred. Would you not agree that because ElGato lives in the same household as rage, it seems far more likely that the two shared account information, and one took advantage of the other. This all sounds like ElGato backed out of his decision to drown Rage and came up with the excuse that he "hacked" Rage.

Besides, this whole argument is goons vs. everyone else, obviously because they lost their jeweler.

He actually changed all of his passwords suspecting someone was fucking with his shit in game.
So, the night after he killed me, I spent about an hour or so guessing his email. Which was pretty stupid of me since it was a password he's used recently and pretty easy to find out.
Once I knew for sure he was asleep and not on his account, I reset the password, got into his account. Made about 25 pairs of q635 thanes and 5 pairs of q635 forge rings.
I then got into a boat with his character, followed by mine and drove down the river from Goonheim for about 30-45 minutes. When I stopped, I walked for almost an hour with both characters until I found a nice remote area behind a rock.
And then I killed him.
Although, I'm sure if when loftar rezzed him, he logged in where he actually died, he'd have my scents. But, he can feel free to summon me. He won't find anything.

I exaggerate about how many rings i actually made.

It's his own fault for reusing a password you knew, if you ask me. And how do I know you two aren't making this all up to get him rezzed? This revival sets a dangerous precedent, everyone who dies from now on can claim he was killed by his roommate, and his argument won't be any weaker than this one.

Well, believe what you want.
He killed me, I killed him. that's how this game has worked so far.
If this hadn't effected so many things I wouldn't have even tried to get him rezzed.

Even if it's all true, why the hell did you know his e-mail password? Sharing passwords with people at any point makes it his own damn fault.

Anyway, does anyone have any recommendations for an MMO that actually has permadeath?

Why should the devs to explain anything about their acts or omissions in their very own free-to-play online game? Is their legitimate right to answer "because we want to do this" to every single question.

They don't but I think they do want feedback, or they wouldn't make it an open alfa. And my feedback is that this is bullshit.

Oh, and thanks Darki, this game is fun.

Check what? shit that happened on the same ip? Does loftar also have webcams watching each and every one of us to check if it's actually us doing the things we pretend to do?
