Would you mind completing your simile? What exactly is like negotiating with terrorists? I fail to see any relation to the topic at hand.
Anyway, to answer the question the thread puts forth and with my limited knowledge I would have to say when someone asks and the Devs
agree that a resurrection is an appropriate action.
Now either let the shitposts continue, or we can actually try to answer that question in more detail.
Saying that the action taken sets a slippery precedent ignores the other side of the problem. If the situation had been ignored, then the precedent would have been set that avoiding in game crime response measure (scents) would have been ok.
You continue to use the excuse "Rage was hacked" as your justification for the resurrection. This is where the whole areguement fails, because you are relying on ElGato's word of mouth that he "hacked" Rage. Except, this is where the deifinition of "hacked" is getting extremely blurred. Would you not agree that because ElGato lives in the same household as rage, it seems far more likely that the two shared account information, and one took advantage of the other. This all sounds like ElGato backed out of his decision to drown Rage and came up with the excuse that he "hacked" Rage.
Besides, this whole argument is goons vs. everyone else, obviously because they lost their jeweler.
