We NEED Sheep's Milk

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

Hmm? Can you make mixed milk cheeses IRL? A sheep/cow milk mix? The thought just struck me that that could be really cool. Once the recipes are out I guess it's a moot point. We should probably reshuffle the recipes a bit on map resets.

Yes. and it is delicious. Especially sheep/goat cheeses.

a lot of feta cheese is a blend of sheep/goat milk, or sheep/cow milk (and sometimes even completely cow's milk in the united states  )

might be interesting to add a few new cheeses with region requirements, or to modify a couple types of cheese to have the secondary fep vary by region...

This would also be a relatively easy way to introduce different varieties of beer; water differences account for many of the world's most celebrated beers.

I support this idea.

And on an aside: I don't believe we should separate lagers and ales. it wasn't until relatively recently that we even discovered the differentiation in yeasts.

Edit: this might be a really neat idea; you could have each SG add randomly determined FEPs to a few select foods produced there; this would create demand for regional goods without requiring any sort of ecological or climatic differences.

If we're lucky, it would also result in the spawning of a few true States, as opposed to the tribes and chiefdoms we have currently.

Very little causes people to band together quite as well as envy of another's resources. :)

Mixing milk for different cheeses sounds like something that'd work great with generic recipes. Different ratios, different results.

Hm, I though sab was suggesting thinks like for example you could make cheese type 1 on mudflat or cheese type 8 on moor.
Maybe I got the wrong impression.

I remember making a thread about this. When the turnout of cheese would be dependant on the terrain it matures on there would be basically endless possibilities for combining the different stages. Which would be great, but I guess it doesn't make too much sense to discuss that now. I'd rather wait for a new mapgen.
