The name dragon teeth is terrible, but the idea in general isn't terrible.

Alt vaults have nothing to do with it.

no righteous man raises his hand against the innocent,
a man need only strike another to make him evil."

“A designer knows he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.”

I'd be for Dragon's Teeth if we had ballistas or something with a medium-range (50~100 tiles). Otherwise I don't see a huge point, just for rams? Feh.

DoG asked for different varieties of walls/fortifications. Dragon Teeth are one possible idea.

Allow Large Boulders to chip into 10 boulders (Removing the Large Boulder)
Add Metal spheres 20 bars of hard metal to make, a liftable
Add Torsion siege engines

when shooting:
100 stones loaded will do 1 damage ignore soak
Large boulder loaded = 5 damage ignore soak
Metal Sphere loaded = 10 damage ignore soak

Same range and drying time as rams. Takes decay hits each shot.

People aren't using rams because walljumping is possible. If walls couldn't be jumped, you could just build your own walls around your ram to protect it. You could then take out the target sector by sector if they attempt to wall off the part you're attacking. Rams could use more range (2-3 times the current range) to make this go a bit faster. Scents should last longer so you can still execute someone even if you have to bring down multiple forts.

Why not just second, stronger battering ram? Make it take a couple steel if you want to make sure it only gets used for serious business.
