If you need tutorials, then "sandbox gaming style" is't for you. Try out tons of other "non-sandbox linear MMO's", like WoW, AoC, WAR, etc, nameit with tutorials, guides, newbie islands, mentor systems. Not a personal offence, just advice.
Current system of sandbox game without specific aims/quests with external information sources (wiki, forum) encourages player to THINK, ACT, ASSOCIATE.
Mentor\Newbie city (been playing later ages of UO?) system encorages player to follow someones lead from A to Z.
If you really want someone to teach you - join any of existing major villages. Ask for group on forums. If you don't want to do it yourself and asks Devs to do it for you - then again, sandbox gaming is't for you.
P.S. Personally i don't like idea of "synthetic" newbie helping tools because we'v been through that already. Newbie City -> NPC Guards for it -> [Young] status making unable to PK newbie -> Item Insurance -> Second "world" of PvE only. Thus, game goes dead theme park.
