The expending stamina to walk faster is a good idea, but in this case your guy should have some sort of autodrink with a flask on, it's a pita to do with lag even with regular running not carrying objects. Dashing even on pavement expends my stamina down to where it's not possible in 2 seconds, that means I'd have to continue drinking and running at an insane pace to keep it up, ridiculous!

I agree with the idea, but I think we should make it more difficult to attain the walking/running speed with objects if it's gonna be strength related (and it should be). So I believe a good number would be palibashing str (or at least 500 str) to walk with stuff and double that for running speed.

Strengths affect on carrying an item = consitutions affect on swimming

I don't like when things are like "At 199 strength you can't carry this item, but at 200 you suddenly can!"

Well I don't see how you'd get around the fact that at ONE specific point you'd be able to walk/run instead of crawling...it'd still be a specific number :)

you should be able to use any movement speed while carrying stuff, but the sqrt of str and con should determine stamina drain rate while moving above crawl

It should be like a less deadly form of swimming basically. Like at 50 con, you can swim like 10 tiles or whatever, can't swim a river but there is no specific number of constitution that it takes to swim a river.

Just as, for example, walking with my boat with 50 con and 50 str should allow me to get like 30 tiles (more then swimming because theres more land tiles that a person needs to walk then there are river tiles needed to swim), theres no specific point when I can walk with my boat from my house to the stream, I just get progressively farther as I increase strength and constitution.
