Indirect lighting from where? Pitchblende in the cave's walls?

That gave me a laugh. I wasn't suggesting lighting in caves. I was merely pointing out the flaw in the analogy of the lighting in a house. In any case, why not simply torches instead of adding a whole new feature?

I don't think firelight has the right wavelengths for plant growth. In fact, you can't even use just any old electric lighbulb, you need pricy sodium bulbs. I know this because of, uhm, school science project.

I too have been known to engage in, uhm, school science projects. :)

I took this seriously at first, hehe.

This would account for about 95% of penis lakes i'd assume.

Also creamy cock.

It is true though. You need a lot of lumens for most plants to grow. Mushrooms are simpler as they need moisture, a substrate and a steady temperature and thats about it really.

Indoor farming is really encroaching on "Dwarf Fortress" territory, i.e. becomes closer to a Fantasy game than something based on realism.

Besides sunlight, plants also require soil and water. To have greenhouses in caves you'd realistically need to do a whole lot of transporting soil from outside, watering them, lighting the area... It seems more inconvenient than simply farming outside.

It'd be nice to live completely hidden in a cave, but I think it's probably asking a bit too much.

Realism? The most common form of hunting/taming invokes a ton of signposts. This makes zero sense, just an adaptation to the environment and available resources.

I don't think under ground farming would be a good thing. Think if you are farming and then a green hulk spawns WHAT THEN? im sure that green hulk will destroy everything in his path and one hitting you and using you as his new .... tooth pick or .... worse.
The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, he sealed his fate ... Entrusting his future to the cards, man clings to a dim hope. Yet, the Arcana is the means by which all is revealed. Beyond the beaten path lies the absolute end. It matters not who you are ... Death awaits you.
