Indoor farming is really encroaching on "Dwarf Fortress" territory, i.e. becomes closer to a Fantasy game than something based on realism.
Besides sunlight, plants also require soil and water. To have greenhouses in caves you'd realistically need to do a whole lot of transporting soil from outside, watering them, lighting the area... It seems more inconvenient than simply farming outside.
It'd be nice to live completely hidden in a cave, but I think it's probably asking a bit too much.
