simple fix. Nerf bucket LP to 10 or 5 or better,0. There's no reason for buckets to give that much LP for one board.

Exactly, this idea is more efficient than putting animals that can kill us, including new players.

Hell no. It does the opposite of help trees. 30x worrst. Cut down trees and its animal paradise for hunters.

Then make it a 'civilization' modified value, in a civilized area it is safe to chop trees, but in the deep-dark-woods the Ents will spawn and jack you up. This will do for Forests what the Trolls and Cave-ins do for mines, make them feel dangerous or 'Moria', though the Ents should be weaker then Trolls as wood is a lower grade material. Of course it is only fair that the trees in the deep woods will have higher base quality too to balance the travel time and danger. Even assuming bucket grinding is fixed as an LP exploit it would still make the carrier of Lumber jack more interesting if their were a spectrum of risk-reward options with respect to trees, just as mining became more interesting with rock hardness, supports and Trolls.

Nice idea. Would make ancestor system also more useful ;)

Every time another way to get LP is taken away or nerfed, the harder and harder it becomes for us "average" players to actually get anything done. Have you ever tried getting 70 MM by just "playing the game" or "building cabins"? No, its not the best way to get LP, spending your weekend clear cutting then turning all of the logs into wicker baskets is the most LP per Tree ratio.

I agree, we need to redo this system of LP, its way broken now, because people who spend extreme amounts of time on this game are super overpowered gods and the people who spend regular amounts of time on this game can't do anything.

Have to agree.
Grind begins from the basics. "Go burn the fires until you`ll get some LP for basics" - and hordes of people walking around making fires just to get anything. Then - grinding for exploration(crops), for farming, for Yeomanry...well, after some point you can play for fun, but before that that game is really made of grind.
I`d say system is good when you take enough LP for building a house for being able to protect it with claim then.
