Wrong tech level jorb, I just want ordinary animal and plant breeding, such as one could have done before 1000 AD. But I like the idea of the underlying pattern being realistic, e.g. 2 brown eyed people might produce blue eyed offspring - but 2 blue eyed people always produce blue eyed offspring, etc. (I'm using a human example because I don't know much about actual inheritance patterns for anything but humans, and perhaps incorrectly remembered details of Gregor Mendel's peas.)

I really liked the "creation by players of different animal breeds" idea.
Now just give me DOGS! please?
Ok, no more derailing the thread. I apologize.

Foxes will attack the object in one way or another. Hen houses will be a sink for superfluous seeds from farming. The system will probably be reminiscent of silk production -- shifting objects around for maximum output, optimal ratio of hens to eggs to seeds to roosters -- and there will be omelets. And maybe some HFS where cow eggs can be put into the hen house, whereupon the chickens would brood on it...
;)

Foxes cant spawn on claims, and due to the nature of the game it vital to have your farm inside a claimed wall. So how would a fox be able to attack a henhouse?
Maybe foxes will get a "tunneling" ability, that lets them skip walls if they sit next to them long enough? That would add extra danger to people who live in dangerous places with newbies. Which would be interesting in and of itself...
If you have a walled farm in mordor and want to help a newbie, no problem. Unless you want chickens. Because with the chickens come the LANDCARP! err...the foxes...

Also, Dogs!

It all depends on when you learnt about Mendelian inheritance, eye colour was infact thought to be covered by it but since then that has been proved wrong.

Don't you hate it when the standard example you learned in school turns out to be bogus?
