Hell... it'd make more sense if inheriting gave you more tradition, period. Because if you're inheriting ideas, it becomes tradition... Be thankful it only resets Tradition/Change to 0.

IMO it should be tied to base LP earnings.......

Since you can gain LP now while not being in game, I think it makes even more sense for the belief timer to be tied to actually being in game playing.

Except you're not playing, you just afk all day in a house. What does this accomplish, other than increasing the lag?

Not having full change doesn't PREVENT you from playing the fucking game. If you feel like you have to afk in a cellar because you're not getting MAXIMUM POTENTIAL out of your character, then that's your own damn problem. The system is perfectly fine as is.

The game should reward you for doing interesting productive things, not boring ridiculous things. That's almost the definition of good game design. That's why the LP system was changed.

I don't see how this has anything to do with my post...

Old LP system: The best way to progress is to make 100,000 buckets. BAD DESIGN.
New LP system: The best way to progress is to interact in meaningful and diverse ways with the world. GOOD DESIGN.

Old Slider system: The best way to progress is to AFK in the cellar. BAD DESIGN.
New Slider system: The best way to progress is to play as you would anyway. GOOD DESIGN.

I don't know what you mean by "OLD" and "NEW" slider system, since there's always been only one system, but either way the 2nd option is always the best way to progress, no matter how the slider system works.

I assume you are saying that people could do that and not that I actually do. I would never waste my time like that.

Either way i do not see a reason to make it easy for all toons to get beliefs without playing just because someone could leave a toon left on.

I think maybe a better solution to that problem would be to stop the countdown if a toon is not active.
