I'm willing to bet Jorb has never been a victim of griefing in H&H. so he probably doesn't know how frustrating it is, losing weeks or even months of work. He's a god in his own little H&H world, and perhaps it is that fact as to why he's banning me for apparently having a differing view: I threaten his god complex.

People mis-quoting/alter-quoting me and then banning me, how original. I'm the troll here? For suggesting an ALTERNATE server? What, might I ask, did I do that was such a gross offense that warranted a ban? Disagreeing with Jorb? Who's the more mature one here? Simply because I made a suggestion and Jorb didn't like it? Because I gave valid reasoning and Jorb didn't like it? There are many people I've spoken to who play this game for the unique take on pioneer sim gaming and NOT for the permadeath. In fact, just about everyone I've spoken to in-game HATES it, but they do what I do: TOLERATE it.

EDIT: I see that it was sab that banned me and I frown. While I'm glad it wasn't Jorb who did the banning, I still stand by my aforementioned statements.

Yeah jorb has said several times that he made this game for himself, and I do believe he plays by the rules.. at least with some of his characters . There is a sort of masochistic streak in a lot of gamers that is hard to describe. It's the feeling that there is no real success without the possibility of real failure. I play all my single player RPGs with some kind of permadeath rule. 2,000+ hours into modded Oblivion I still haven't beaten it

It's a small subset of gamers that enjoy this, and this is a small niche game.

I'm only "blaming" him because Loftar didn't come into my suggestion thread and reply with a "lolno".

If I were a game developer I would at least give a reason as to why a second server with a no-permadeath alteration is not possible. Rather, it probably is possible, and might even be more successful (nobody can say with certainty whether it would be or not). Has anyone even tried?

I haven't died yet in this world. I hadn't ever been murdered, though at one point a boar killed me during a period of lag, and I know it has for a few other people as well... That's the one part of permadeath I don't like; otherwise I 100% enjoy it. I don't lag in real life and get gored by a truck driving across the water, afterall. C'est la vie.

Another good way to avoid death from player is to have a good tongue. Try diplomacy. Especially if you know they can easily kill you... Because if it doesn't work, they'll kill you anyways and then, well... You just don't spawn right away or spawn elsewhere.
