You are missing the point constantly, I honestly think the Dev's want new players to be able to be attacked by high tier players, and it is suggested here that it should change.... You are asking the Dev's to change something they support (through there post, Developers thoughts on pvp), and change it, so the game can be "better". You are telling them, and the player base that supports them, that what they like, they should not actually like. facist ass hole.

On top of that, you don't add any usefull critique yourself, and have yet to comment on any other of the actual game breaking reasons this cannot happen...

AND ON TOP OF ALL THAT....... You make a handfull of assumptions about the way I play the game? You assume I only kill lower tier players... And that I do it because I was killed by higher tier players when I was a noob... And it's all wrong. If you are not aware, progression in this game can be represented by an asymptote... If you are strong enough to survive to the point where the gap between you and your opponents it is neglible (entirely too easy due to other game breaking mechancis (vaults.... alternate characters), actual problems with the game, not some blue server or newb buffer) then it is all player-skill based, and this game requires a ton of it! You assume I don't have the "testicular fortitude to come after the actually powerful people in the area.".... Wow, really? The only reason I kill noobs myself is to provoke attacks from higher tiered players, because it is other wise near impossible to draw them out. ( DUE TO VAULTS)

So to summarize this thread...

1) noob gets griefed and complains about griefing
2) bigger noob jumps in and makes long posts
3) community doesn't give a fuck what noob thinks

Did i get everything?

I don't think a buffer is bad but it doesn't solve anything. After the buffer ends you're right exactly where you would have been regardless and you still won't be able to stand against players who are more practiced at combat than you.

If you can think of or formulate an actual way to introduce people to the concepts of the game and give them a moment to gather their bearings that won't be pointless, then please suggest that. An arbitrary period of time where they're allowed to hide from the real world isn't the answer and, if anything, only serves to hurt them more.

Yeah, you missed the part where he basically said I can't handle what he dubs "high tier" players, so I only troll, grief, and kill noobs.

There should be a tutorial and the last thing it says should be "Warning, you will likely be griefed by other players." Because alot of people don't seem to think this possible when they start playing >.>

Thanks TechXKnight, you reminded me.... Krassofnod3 you seem to recognize this idea has been brought up before, but did you actually ever read why it has been declined?

jesus this got ugly derailed fast

look I wasn't' saying take perma death out I agree that it makes things more..... interesting

and like I said the death that my alt experienced was no big deal I don't' really care that he died afterall it was my own dumbass fault to be standing outside where I could be shot in the first place.....

but i will miss my friends who now don't want to play the game because someone totally and for no better reason than to get his jollies off killed them in their defenseless nublike state. the least he coulda done was come after my main or knock down my palisade or go after any number of the people that were around me...but i guess I value challenge in a fight...if it is to easy of a fight imma be bored with it with a quickness.

so in other words you kill powerless nubs just because you can and think it will anger some sleeping giant who just so happens to roost near by in an otherwise unassailable fortress....yup I CLEARLY see the logic in that now. Oh wait no that pretty much constitutes trolling griefing and picking off the low hanging fruit - proving exactly what your simple mind thought was a cleverly crafted arguement against my reasoning.

in otherwords well person A who might be a challenge is hidden in their fortress and so I am going to go rape person B C and D because well they can't stop me and maybe person A will get mad at me roughing up the local riff raff....

still and doesn't really make you out to be anymore than an absolute moron with a hard on for griefing nubs and no cajones to go after a real fight.... so point well taken :D

A) ignorance?
B) Stupidty?
C) Apathy?
D) All of the above?
