No, honestly I can't, but at least I tried, and that's good enough in my book.
I don't understand why everyone's mad at me? These are the forums, doesn't everyone have the right to express their ideas freely? -.-
No, it's not good enough. Some person "tries" to change the oil in their car to save $20 and end up with a $1000 repair because they did it wrong. Trying is never good enough. Know what you're about. Many people think that when they're young, and then they grow up and realize what kind of clusterfuck things can be left in because they just "tried." <Instert Yoda here>
Is there any expense in throwing ideas out there? Only pride. Just check the attitude about it, though. Commit to it or don't bother with coming forward cause the world will rip you a new hole.
Sure, express you're ideas freely. It's the internet. Who's going to stop you? Why everyone so mad? I don't think they are. More likely they're laughing at the village idiot. (Teck, on the other hand, looked pretty pissed at your attempt at censorship.)

This.
I don't know why everyone keeps on bringing this quote up. "Realism" is always a good start for a mechanic in a game. If it doesn't feel natural or smooth, then people are going to trip over it and be confused, unless that's the purpose of it. Do I want my game to become a full blown simulation? No, but I want it to look natural and have a consistent environment. This is why reality becomes abstracted in a game. My FPS doesn't need to fully model the physics of a bullet in a field environment. It just needs to have a little scatter to it when I hold down the fire key when using a fully automatic rifle. What are HP for in a RTS if not an abstraction of the reality of the randomness of the battlefield and actually taking a lethal blow? If that RTS were a full on simulation, the performance of the unit would start to degrade from damage (and there are some games out there like that).
Lastly, I'd like to leave you with one last thought:

But for the sake of peacefulness, I'm gonna forget this ever happened, and keep my mouth shut.
Harden up, little dude. Quit trying so hard. It's the fucking internet. No matter what you say, someone will take offense at it. Just like in life, say what you mean and learn when to keep you mouth shut and when to sound off. Also, if someone comes back at you for a mistake, admit to it. There's a time to say "oops, my bad" and a time to write an apology letter. Learn the difference. (FYI, you don't go to Hell for using a few bad words.
