Silk Curios?

It was suggested sometime after the start of W5 that a curiosity OR table placement be craftable from all the various flowers that are now present in the game.

Bluebell/Edel/Stern/ThingFoundOnMoorThatICan'tRememberTheNameOf etc.

I kind of like the idea of a table placement more than some kind of super curiosity though. Make it have a really great hunger/fep modifier, but it will decay like all other table items. That way you can weigh the benefits of using your precious bluebells for it or now.

No, you put them in a glass or porcelain vase. :D

Mapping should SO give you LP, not much maybe 10-100 LP per new square but it would give more of a reason to do it.

I lobbied for complete local and regional maps to be curios at the beginning of w5, but alas, my requests went unheard.

Yeah, it's sad. :(
I don't see why you don't get discovery LP per the event since you are mapping a new area each time.

Copying? Parchment and Inkweed are way to easy to come by once you can get them.

In that case why not return LP to all actions? I think it should be 100% curios now thats the system.

Yeah, that's what someone else said. However, you could make the quill (feather) and a whole jar of ink consumed when copying thus you still have the same cost as other curios. Besides, nobody said a map had to be a good curio. Other than that, maps don't have a quality, so it'd be a bit more work to get it to function as a curio correctly (kinda like how a golden egg is bugged).

Well, it'd be possible to do it this way, but damn, that's a lot of freakin time waiting on cone cows just so you can start picking dandelions and raiding ants. And what about people that are stuck far enough away from a coniferous forest that they can't easily get to cone cows?

But why is the half-assed discovery system in, if it's supposed to be 100% curio?

Getting discovery LP for mapping would only apply once for that location per hearthling, obviously. And mapping it seems as close to a "discovery" as you can possibly get as far as the game is concerned. One thing I previously liked about H&H was it was one of the few games that reward exploration. Now the only reward for exploration is finding resources to camp with alt claims.

Cartography is never used because mapping clients have been commonplace since world 3; atleast back then there was gameplay rewards for using it; now there are none.

I disagree with silk needing a curio, but with that suggestion, perhaps a silk filament then? Or 2? The point of the wildflower bouquet would be to give inkweed and bloodstem some use; it wouldn't be that great of a curio.

I cannot announce that gold eggs aren't bugged, but I can say (from my own knowledge) that Q0 curiosities are no longer bugged. If that's what caused the gold egg to flip out, then indeed it is fixed now.
