Let me put this another way. Look the rules over again, one by one. They do not forbid one from 'venting', which should be obvious from existing threads. Everyone already 'says their peace' (sic). What they do forbid is spam, creepiness, laziness, etc. What about that seems unreasonable to you, that would make this subforum where crfernald can freely copypaste whatever bullshit images from the dregs of the internet worthwhile?

The answer is "no" and pulling anecdotes out of your ass will not change that.

Yeah, no. Last time I made a serious post about why I love murdering people in Haven I was warned for it. Maybe that's your interpretation of the rules, but there are members of the moderation team pushing their own agenda with their own interpretation of the rules.

Wow, Jackard you've really outdone yourself. I'm glad you think that, but it's really not up to you now is it? I wasn't aware that you were a developer and could make administrative decisions about the website like jorb and loftar can. This thread isn't about you, or for you. It's hopefully for devs to read, as it is something that only they could implement if they decided to take that direction with the forums in which they own and you don't. If the moderation team likes it, that's an added bonus for JnL to consider.

Really, just because it would be a place where people could post opinions beyond your control doesn't mean you have to do a troll move and refer to it as copy pasted internet dreg bullshit. What makes you any better than me? From the looks of it you're trying to derail the thread by being a troll and attacking me personally rather than addressing the fact that it's a good idea and you can't come up with a somewhat reasonable argument against it like burg has.

If you aren't going to address the issue in a critical and constructive manner like burg has there is no reason for you to be here. It's just a prime example of the shitposting that you seem to want to avoid everyone else posting.

As annoying as most the threads usually are, I think a fair compromise would just to be a little more lenient in IoB considering it is the closest thing we have to a completely off-topic subforum. I see a lot of threads get locked that fall under the category of "General discussion and socializing."

Albeit most of them are indeed shit.

If anything I was thinking IoB should be the more strict forum, with ICA being the least strict. If you post in ICA you're walking into the lion's den. Anyone that enters there should know who posts there, and if you upset them they'll come after you both on the forums and in the game. Sometimes they'll even hijack your account in the case of some Russian drama.

Really missing out on the point of censoring ICA. Who's there to offend? What's the worst thing that can happen, people start hijacking accounts and going at each others throats like they already do over petty bullshit? There's no one left to protect and no reason for any sort of imposed civility. If anything it'll just brew even more resentment against some members of the moderation team than there already is. If the reason is to allow casuals to post, maybe they should keep their censored forum while allowing the grown-ups to post in their own.

Is that so? Perhaps you should bring up these concerns in the moderation discussion thread.

Do you mean like this post at 7:44AM, the one that you read before making your post at 8:26AM?

Making a reference to the stringent new moderation standards is not airing my grievances about the moderation staff, it's my rationale for a new forum without the aforementioned standard.

I don't understand the need. This isn't some private forum for you and your buddies, this is a public forum for a game. As Jackard has stated, there are plenty of ways to make your own forum on the internet.

Do you really think I'd want to talk shit and use hatespeech towards my buddies? The need is to satisfy our urges to wave our dicks at each other and be giant assholes in order to piss each other off. If you think that it's for all the hardcore players to sit around and talk about how they love the holocaust you're getting the wrong idea about the proposed forum.

No surprise that the two biggest asshat Mods who "themselves" fairly often troll/shit post and wave their e-peens around are the ones against it. One day they'll maybe find girlfriends, wives or maybe better lube for spanking it and lose some of their...hmmm.... aggro.
