@0wolfboy0

I remember you being with svino and iman in W5 - i've been your direct neighbour across the river and had kinned most of you ppl. Like i had a lot of others in the area as i was there from day 1 on. So i know a bit about your experiences in HnH... ;)

Not to forget it was at peak times where there was around 1000+ online and that because at that time guys like Paul Soares did some advertisement and there where lots of online communities sending in their hordes. Lots of them where gone very fast as HnH never has been a simple game.

One important point: the majority of players always was more into friendlyness, communication, cooperation and helping - that's my experience in playing HnH 2+ years...

HnH is still alpha, a hobby project of 2 guys who now are in the situation that they have to work for a living and that is their priority! But they still keep HnH running on the server for us who love to play it. And i'm sure they want a solution for fixing HnH like we do - we just have to be patient... (which is HnH immanent anyway).

The point isn't whether HnH is popular or not - the point is not putting pressure on Loftar and Jorb...

As in every community there are some that are louder than others, some are polite and helpfull, some just seem to be rude and surely some better should be given less freedom by mum and dad...we all know it's the bad news make the bigger headlines...this forum won't be as much fun if there'd be only huggers and kissers - the mixture does it...

"tame" may not be wrong to describe it, but, ha ha, youd better see it for yourself before recommending anyone to go there unless their sole issue is "lag".

Salem forums are the worst forums.

I guess perhaps I did categorise he whole community badly, I've just been remembering the bad experiences instead of the good ones.

Really? I just assumed that seeing as it was owned by a some-what big company that they'd have filters and what-not. I suppose I should have checked them out before I said anything :lol:.

I disagree. A game like HnH is entirely based on it's community- it would be a very different game if player demographics were different.

I think that if Loftar and Jorb really cared about Haven and Hearth, and it's community (ie, us), they would release the source code and let the community tackle the problems the game faces. Modders could improve performance, graphics, add features that people have been clamoring for for ages, and private servers would allow players to have a true, untouched wilderness to explore and enjoy with their friends, or even just a smaller group of people (what would the game look like with, say, four hundred players, or eighty players?) that were intimate- all on the same time zone, all speaking the same language.

I haven't played this game for months because of the neglect that it's developers have shown to it- and the corresponding unfortunate state of the game.

If Jorb and Loftar really are making a new Haven game, why not release this one? :|

I agree just open source it already. However I am willing to bet, with how protective of their source code they are, they will wait to release it after the 'new Haven' is released, or will most likely (99.9% probability) never release it at all.

C'mon Jorbtar, do what John Carmack would do. Release the fucking code.
