I like this idea. Porting is pretty over powered, Especially when used for trading.

Well teleporting yes or no.
I think teleporting is very good thing. It's true makes the game little less dangerous and trade go faster. ( if you don't choose some random traders with sword in their hand )

If there will be no teleporting well we would ask neighbours for some stuff. I think then would be more area traders. And all traders would move their carts wagons in that village in area which would be most advanced and willing to trade. It would be fun to see more people going in one directon for 1 reason. But there would be probably more raids on the way and people would lost a lot. Wagon or cart full of stuff ( i wouldn't go to trade which take me a few real hours for only 1 thing ) their char. Anway here i see one other problem or advantage. Little people around this trading center in their area would say: "how are we stupid we trading for months why not all get together and destroy this traders place". I think every thing has their advantages and disadvantages.
Jorb an Loftar will decide which is better on this matter :)

p.s. I am happy with teleporting - would be a problem if they would cancel it? I love HNH so if they change little things like that I will be here :) I would hate to see HNH become completely different game like i hear about some big changes and so on.

I think with or without cross roads the game will work. It the ways to abuse the current system that need fixed more than the complete removal of a system. You could always allow villages only so many roads or even make them authority drain objects. They are intended to be abstract representation of safe road maintained by a village so why not make them cost authority to maintain?

If you want to do away with it keys need to be reworked so its not so dangerous to carry one. Also claim owners should be able to change out locks if a key is stolen. That way there is a counter to theft.

Either way works. It's more up to Jorb and Loftar what they think will work best in the system.

im liking the idea and if we change the way it works.
e.g. teleporting has a very limited range say 100-200 tiles or the C'R. takes a sh*t ton of resources.
and i dont think you should have to be in a village to make/use C'Rs.
