Yay :D

Well, while I do think that the autoshops are a crucial feature, I think that game should be made more newb-friendly first. Without newbs to provide constant demand for stuff like tools, trade can't get very far.

Looking through the tons of autoshops that are bound to pile up over time is totally not going to be the same waste of time that trading is currently.

They shouldn't be exempt to decay, so it should be easy to recognize the stocked shops. And you don't need to look at *every* active shop to get a gauge of what's a reasonable price. As for the problem of knowing which shops to look in for specific items, there should be several different shop signs that shop-owners can hang to show people what kind of a shop it is.

Yes, but I think the main target market of shops will be the people that *don't* go to the forums or the IRC. I think there's a significant number of them right now, and the number will only grow as the playerbase grows. That, and there's a fair number of players that don't speak English, and shops would be a godsend for them.

Still, finding what you need shouldn't be hard if shops are properly labelled.
