And I don't see what's wrong with the good old fashioned "destroy" button.

As I'm pretty sure I stated in my original post...
1 - It takes too much time for me to clean up all the straw baskets and other noob crap that spreads itself around brodgar. It'd be handy if I could spend authority on clean up without spending time.
2 - Breaking down wall ins from griefers is a PITA (although it doesn't seem to happen anymore since jorb told people to cut it out) I'd like to make it a waste of their time without wasting any of my time.
3 - It would be handy to be able to spend authority to re-organize the village, and it could also be used to delete things that usually can't be destroyed (cabins, authority objects etc)

I think an option would be to have the ability to mark things for increased decay rate using authority instead of outright deletion.

gonna keep bumping till I can delete that garbage.

This would also potentially help with that backpack clutter.

I think this is a good idea. At the very least, the greatly increased decay rate would make wonderful sense.
