This guy has not said anything intelligent since this thread began.

And standard reply, the points system works.. It's basically barter, but everyone wants pearls.. mostly because everyone want them.

Looking at money as nothing more than a cheap general purpose IOU credit system from the bank/system to you.
The bank/system/country/group needs to be able to pay its loans (with something that has some high and stable real value.) or the trust in the bank/system/currency plummets.

Ergo: Money/credit/coin's need to be linked to some trust object(person or group), so that they have control over the amount of coins/credit/loans they give out.
... HnH coins don't allow for this.
... Ergo: End of story.

It happens, not everyone speaks English as their primary language. Aghmed is also absolutely right and his point was for the purpose of discourse.

I meant Ranma calling Aghmed 'it' amongst other mistakes while correcting him, I know English isnt everyones primary language.
Just calling out someone who posts incorrect while correcting which seems straight up retarded to me personally.

No your hateposting to me is way more interesting and useful.
Never win? I keep making you react (often even react to me when I'm not talking to you or calling anyone out) so apparently you care for some reason.
Sure, I have enough crappy posts, but you dont have a single one am I right?
Oh and eh, for someone caring so much about 'qualityposts' (lol) consider using some interpunction.
For someone considering himself an intellectual and a serious expert gamer (cracks me up every time I read that post) you sure keep this shitposting between us going even unprovoked.

I think we have a good system in here that still allows for deals to be made for avid traders. (curios are almost everywhere the same)

I don't think a coin system would work, there were extensive discussions on this ever since w3 but basically you could inflate a market very easily.

What COULD be done is that a few of the more prominent traders could agree on a fixed linear increase in points for curios of above q20. Now if you made that a project, to get the major traders to accept that and publicly announce the prices (which would mean that most of the people would accept them), that I would support.

I obviously said it would be a representative currency meaning I had plans to back it with something of value. Currently it only theoretical though. I haven't gathered enough mathematicians and economists yet to put it into affect.

There is no benefit to currency backed by anything in the game. The current point system works perfectly well and you are wasting your time trying to over complicate things

Yo realize currency streamlines things if you ever looked at economics before.

In the real world currency is something set in place by the goverment and produced by them, the average citizen has no way to just print money.
Since in Haven all items are theoretically aquirable by all players, this is not a solid comparison as the currency could change in value seemingly at random because new players gain access to the chosen currency or players in possesion of it previously lose said access.
