What?

Running away is a feature, they aren't going to remove that. If anything else, hunting is only going to get harder, not easier; they've made that certain. Or are you trying to say that crafting should NOT always be successful because then I'd agree to boosting its LP massively.

You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

Dev's had repeatedly said AI mechanics are lacking. Moreover, bear traps, Hunting has no fail rate.

Also, Lets say the highest civ levels give %200 boost to LP. That's still no where near bear hunting.

If they've spent several millions of LP to not have bears hit them while they make themselves vulnerable for an extended period of time then why shouldn't they reduce the fail rate to 0?

Not everyone can do that, hence the bawww thread in the How Do I forum.

Because it's imbalanced game mechanics to have one activity give 10x the LP rate as any other activity in the game. Like I said. Even a %200 LP buff wouldn't set production activities anywhere NEAR bear hunting.

I'm not the only one who feels bear hunting is excessively rewarding. It's just not been talked a lot about recently because

1)LP system will eventually be replaced
2)It's been said so many damn times before.

So everyone gets a boost for a basically no risk activity with a 100% chance of success with very few necessary pre-requisites.

Well, when you put it like that, I can live it.

I call base in a level 1 area with a hfire in mordor.

Bear hutning is not a risky activity. THere is the same chance of dying and losing stats from bear hunting as there is from starving to death: %0

Each of these things only happens due to player ignorance.

Devs have already said they'll boost animals to be able to kill. Still waiting.

Making bear hunting a risky activity would be something that merits having them worth more LP.

THAT said. It occurs to me that the barbarism/civilization slider might affect LP gains from civ/mordor.

On the topic of sliders, I'd rather they fix Death/Life first. No one's going to give up 20% of their HP just to deal more grievious damage which does next to nothing to players and is practically useless on animals.

I think death/life would go hand in hand with combat revamp, where grievous damage would actually *mean* something.
