You need perc + explore to see the kula. It will otherwise appear as a boulder of similar size. You'll know it's there, but you might not be able to interact with it. If we do locks, it can also be locked. The kula is marked as a quick travel point, and can hold four carryables.

I'll hoist it up the flagpole. See if it flys.

If you're going to call it kula instead of mound, can I at least stick some crenelations on it and pretend it's Croatian instead of Swedish?

Mound, that's a good word!

I am not sure about the quick travel point thing?
That means you'll get a button under the [a]dventure - [t]ravel menu, right?
How many such kula can a player build?
Who gets to travel there? The builder? The last player who successfully interacted with it (by both perceiving it, possibly unlocking it, and opening its interface)?

The rest of the mechanics sound great - especially the one where lacking per/exp lets you see the boulder, but no interaction is possible - IRL I can imagine situations where you understand (from bones, broken twigs, smoke columns etc) that someone must live somewhere in the area, but you need to eat more carrots to find their abode.

Don't flatter yourself. These are things we've been talking about for a while now.

I imagine it would function as a claim of sorts.

You cant fast travel to your claim, but that's one way to solve ownership, I agree.
