The real problem with it is that they do it on multiplayer games, which is obviously unfair to the other players. A person could make a program that just digs until the stamina runs out, then make the character sit on a chair until their stamina is full. They could build a palisade around themselves to ensure no animals or passing by players kill them. They could leave the game running 24 hours a day all week, giving them pretty insane LP. What ever will they do with it all? Perhaps purchase the "murder" skill and boost their marksmanship to 300, then paint the town red. They'd probably have a full "tradition" belief before doing any crimes, of course, so killing them will only take them down a notch, which they could recover from by letting the game play itself some more.

Another possibility is to swap the craft with cancel/destroy button once in a while.

The stronger the security, the smarter the criminal becomes... Though 99% of the people using scripts to play games for them are just little shits who downloaded it from some l33t hax0rz site and have some chance of losing their account to a keylogger.

Anyhow, you shouldn't underestimate the unwillingness to play that some people have. I once played a game infested with these bots that would play the game on their own. They'd just camp an area with weak monsters that basically had no chance of killing them whatsoever. Some of them camped stronger areas with the assistance of autopotion scripting. There was a way I could abuse the battle system to get these people killed, but it would take an hour or so for them to go through all their potions. Some of them were programmed to log out if they were low on health and had no potions. Others were programmed to log out and log back in if you were trying to get them killed. Others sounded an alarm that actually made the cheater wake up and check on the game to ensure that I couldn't kill them. Seriously, they went that far. I believe some of them were also programmed to walk to the store and buy more potions if they ran out. As time passed, more people started downloading the more advanced scripts. I ended up quitting that game since the multiplayer/competitive aspect was completely destroyed.

Though I rarely even encounter anyone on this game, it would be a shame if one of the people I ran into used scripts to build up insane stats that could end my weeks of playing in no time just so they could get some cheap "lulz". It sounds like jorb would know how to handle them if things really got out of hand, though. Of course, it would be nice if there was more to do than grind LP/stats/quality after learning all the skills and building whatever you want... Other than turning to a life of crime, that is.
