We talk about time periods because:
1 - It is interesting to many of us personally to know what people got up to back in those days.
2 - While fun must be in the front seat at all times, achieving fun while remaining true to a theme improves immersion and generally delivers more fun than crazy random shit.

Calling people's discussions dumb and using curse words (damnit is a small curse word) and telling people off for bickering is both contradictory and self defeating, it makes you come across like an idiot.

General and anonymous. E.g. Mass graves versus memorializing individuals with rites and practices of preservation in the promise of resurrection.

all the burial mounds sites listed in germany are around 1200-800 or so BCE

You're missing the point. They aren't graves or monuments to individuals. They're sacred sites where everyone is collectively buried with distinguishment or reference to individualism.

It would also be fitting for monuments to be erected to very powerful (well developed, 200+ stats or 500+ str) players Somewhere in the village. Some sort of religious rite involving a funeral pyre for all dead players would be appropriate (another reason to make swimming non-lethal).

If you agree that burial mounds fit the game, we're really just discussing semantics.

Don't give me shit. You love arguing semantics as much as I do.
