People actually buy chickens? I drop like 10 chickens and 20 eggs every day, because hunger sucks :(

As for hemp buds, I don't see why they're on the maybe list. Everyone wants tons of pot.

i'd buy chickens if they were higher q than what i had. and pot was on the maybe list because it's new to the market and i haven't really gotten a feel for it yet. definitely worth offering, up to the buyer if they are interested...

I think the problem isn't that mines are rare, but that nothing else is.

A good solution would be to make mining speed be effected by strength and con, forcing miners to trade metal for high QL food and giving more people access to metal (miners trade it to cooks, cooks trade it to farmers, ect.)

indeed, however i think the solution would be to add more rare and/or localized resources

You know, I've seen you mention 'wall-grade' bricks before, and I was under the impression that quality was irrelevant for walls (particularly given sabinati's post above about 'any quality' bricks being a trade good, though that could be for repairs). Am I mistaken or do you just like adding the description?

If you don't add the description people are bound to ask if you mean good q bricks so better get it out of the way.

I can see that, but wall-grade is sufficiently ambiguous that people who don't know might ask anyway. Plus 'any q' is certainly quicker to type.

But enough of that bunny trail, thanks for the quick response.

I'd like to hear loftar's or Jorb's opinion on the subject.

OK, after trying to catch my hemp in bloom, I can say with certainty that everyone will pay decent cash for pot. Though most established groups will probably prefer fresh buds, so they can dry them in their own tables for better q (q has effect just like with tea, right?).
