Look into the definition of alpha vs beta vs complete.
Although it's frequently misused on large projects, beta was originally used to mean "feature complete, some bugs still to fix".
The day that H&H becomes "feature complete" and therefore no longer alpha is the day I most likely stop playing it. I don't think I'd be able to maintain interest in something that people were no longer updating.
This doesn't really make any sense. Not one single MMO has ever been released and never had any updates simply because the game was complete. In fact, no MMO is ever "complete," they all have additions and updates. I'm going to assume you've just never played any other game like this. People don't make these games and then just say, "WELP, we're out of alpha and beta stages. We've finally got a product that is finished enough to be considered a full, "complete" game! ....Let's stop adding to it now."
And to contribute to the thread, I believe there should probably be entire server resets, especially after the LP and skill systems are overhauled. This is a game in alpha stages. There is no reason anyone should think they would keep their characters for long, and I don't see why it was ever promised (if it was.)
