Since when do the devs do resurections on request?

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

Are you really this dumb? What benefit would Rage get from killing his own character and pretending that somebody else hacked it. This man is a genius.

Rezzing people is a damn serious thing, the only previous instances I can think of was that bug where prospecting dragged a guy into water and drowned him, and that time when WV made q9mil gear and went on a killing spree *after* J&L told them not to. Both of these are clear cases of correcting major bugs. This resurrection involved no bugs, only bad security policies by the victim. Seriously, Klaue had a LOT stronger case when Onionfighter wall-jumped into his compound and summon executed him, and he wasn't resurrected.

The issue here is the game's policies. H&H was supposed to be a GM-less game, where all that happens comes from players, and where player actions leave a lasting mark. Today they resurrect without a good reason, tomorrow they'll ban people, and the day after that we're playing Wurm Online with prettier graphics.

If you think this is a GM-less game, you are sorely mistaken. Take a look at all the instances of J&L removing walls from walled-in new players. Removing walls from truly impenetrable forts. Showing players where dead players' hearths resided. Your own example of the bugged killing spree that WV went on. The list goes on and on.

This was an instance where somebody's email was hacked and their password was "recovered". That's not even in-game mechanics. That's just shitty, and if you disagree, I'll make sure to note that you think it's chill to have your password taken. J&L decided to rez a character due to extenuating circumstances, as has happened before and will happen again.

Breathe.

Point taken Potjeh.

After all, the Devs decided to leave Sodom untouched after the bandage bug was discovered and it was clear the village benefited greatly from the bug. This didn't effect just one player character but rather the current game world since it allowed Sodom to become a major power so early on.

The Devs were not willing to alter the course of the game world from it's current perverted path. So why start with a single character that was hacked or however you define it?

All those examples were due to insurmountable bugs, and I thought the general idea is to phase them out as the bugs get ironed out. No bug was involved here. And I wouldn't call it hacking either, since he shared the password with Gato sometimes in the past. If he had made a proper password, Gato never would've guessed it. It's same shit as drowning because you *thought* you could make it across, and then getting rezzed because you thought wrong.

two accounts being logged on the same IP, scents, etc. i'm not sure what other information loftar logs. keep in mind that loftar isn't an idiot.

the only reason you have any issue with this is because you don't like rage.

If they live together, wouldn't they be playing from the same IP all the time?

Or maybe it's because Rage got free pass only because he is too much of a coward to cope with his addiction...
