Several people have come up with the idea, in fact anyone who's played Mine Craft has at one point or another said that recipes should work that way. Jackard probably fleshed it out the most though, although I haven't seen the thread, probably before my time.

Indeed, sorry for putting your idea into loftar's mouth. I thought he was supportive of it though? Atleast I seem to remember some post of his.

I'm a big fan of dynamic recipes, and I hope my post helps to direct some more attention toward this area, especially with the currently underfepped wursts. I'm very fond of making sausages, seeing some actual use in consuming them would be nicer though.

Because onions and especially pepper are more recent gamepley elements than the sausage recipes.
Sausages has been around, like forever.
