You do realize that they are not limited to botting a single character you know?
Since the game costs almost little to no resources to use, with multiple characters and such, botting is extremely easy with a modified client and a macro software that can be programmed to do so.
It's just the preparation time that takes way too long, ingame, so if the preparations are given ahead of time, before you start botting, it cuts down on the time needed to begin botting.
Requirements to actually start botting a character is:
- A base or hidden location where you won't get detected, usually well fortified or protected.
- A organization protecting the bots, in a way the bots are like money being counterfeited, and the guards are like gangsters running the money press.
- Loads of resources to back up the bots needs and supplies (food for FEP, and seeds and stuff, to grow, and since it's H&H, high quality seeds are needed so the bots are to be programmed to tell the difference between higher and lower QLV).
If your wondering how a single faction gets accessed to super high stats and skills within a short time, blame botting for running rampant.
IF you can make it possible to track how "old" a character in game is, you can tell how old the assailant who bashed down your pali and killed you.
A one week character shouldn't be able to bash down a palisade... A one month character though, might.
The thing is though, botters likes to bot their characters for amazingly long time to raise the bar far enough so its very hard to gauge what they are capable of...
They could be botting for months in hidden for example, but shorter since they are at risk of being killed and traced for LP and such...
