Roleplaying and RPG are two different things.

It is roleplaying game. That's indisputable. Whether or not some group attempted to kidnap the term and now you've been brainwashed to use their view on a term, is not my problem.

All I hear here is "Spam is a kind of bacon, not an annoying repetitive bunch of messages. Internet people kidnapped the term."

That would be a good analogy if "Spam" was kidnapped by certain butchers to mean a kind of cow dish.

To be more specific: I feel like certain hardcore roleplayers kidnapped the term to only include their hardcore playstyle and exclude all lesser roleplaying. Thankfully the genre names such as RPG still refers to the original definiton of roleplaying which includes both hardcore and softcore roleplaying.

I agree, even there's people in this game who do roleplay (looking at you Robben DuMarsch)
But Jackard's, I think just being realistic.

I would say a lot of of H&H players do softcore roleplaying. Hardcore requires more effort, of course, because you usually then create a backstory, a "unique" personality, a specific manner of speaking, etc. Softcore roleplaying can be as simple as just deciding that you want to play a villain or a good hermit.

If you want that change, that's your opinion. I don't. I prefer a world populated by people who are actually online and will not support an idea that causes people to leave their characters afk in visible range.

But the online people are usually safe behind their walls anyway...

LOOK, EVEN ODDITY WHO LOVES KILLING PEOPLE BY SNIPING AGREES IT SHOULD BE FIXED.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

The whole point of the argument is that online people aren't safe behind their walls thanks to snipers.

They will AFK one way or another.
How is it bad that they are in plain sight?

The difference is that I would see them (the afkers that is) and that reduces my immersion.

YOUR IMMERSION. Not everyone's.

This game is perfectly immersive if you just immerse yourself in it instead of trying to immerse yourself in something else.

And is it the fact they are standing that annoys you? If they had a chair would you be as bothered?

Archery needs to be fixed as a whole (rework), it's not just one thing.

A) you either one shot or do next to null damage( resulting in sniping afkers the only ranged combat you will ever get)
B) i've seen many "archers" that fight in groups with a bunch of melee chars helping them, the melee guys end up doing most of the work ( melee is just better and "combat" rangers can't 1v1, anyway, pure 5v1s these days)
C)You can kill a bear(bugless) by just dumping points into uac, rangers can't without having to grind q for thier shit(bugless)

You need q to fight as a ranger and hope your enemy does not beat you at it, in melee you just need a better stat and to not suck in the combat system, mms works as a general number( ie, aim speed, you aim at the same speed at everything, and a retarded melee player knows how to fuck that up) and melee works around your numbers vs the enemy ones.

Edit: +1 for execute move
