$18 dollars a year is $1.50 a month. per account. This amount is a joke and would push the jackasses away, The idea isn't dumb, it would pull more people in. With the fee also comes the obligation of businesses....uh oh I don't think J+L actually run one. That means their concepts and ideas are not legally protected.. yoink

but seriously, I know the game is just in testing, but theres absolutely no rules whatsoever about conduct in forums or in game, that effectively destroys it in my eyes

I prefer the concept of 'one character per account, IP and e-mail based verification, an automatic system that bans anyone who tries to circumvent those rules, and manual banning for anyone who manages to get around the automatic systems'. If you wouldn't do it on your main, why the hell is it acceptable to do it on an alt? That's classic alt-abuse, right from the base (sharing knowledge between characters) to the point of it all, which is using one of your characters to benefit another.

Any good roleplayer knows that it's wrong. That simple.

You don't fix a broken game by changing the players, you change the game.

This.

For the record, I agree with your other statement - a person who doesn't kill without provocation is infinitely preferrable to someone who kills for the lulz. (Even if the provocation is manufactured, with regards to two villages fighting a war.)

It really is as simple as the presence of scents. No scents = villain. Scents = vigilante. Derp.
