Not really talking to you anyway, but to Jackard, who makes it a sport to say shut up and nothing more, which is kinda sad imo.

I think Lothaudus is saying that despite Jackard's rudeness and lack of sympathy, the point he is making is completely valid.

Your request seems fueled by your desire to have everything given to you with minimal work involved and is largely undermined by your apparent lack of understanding of the game.

The log hut + cellar is quite a large building, you get lots of space in there.

If you require more space, then build two of them.

If you want stupid amounts of indoor space with minimal outdoor footprint then yes, you require a large resource expenditure, including some materials that are hard to obtain.

This is all well and proper

I agree. Wood, stone, straw, that's not exactly difficult to get. The only thing which can be more tricky is metal, but you can hardly expect a mansion to be made entirely of readily-available materials.

I also agree with the palisade being ridiculously prone to decay though, it was extremely resistant to attack, it then become even more resistant to attack to the extent that even a battering ram would have a hard job of knocking the stuff down, and yet most of my palisade is on the verge of breaking from decay after less than a week. I don't have time to get wood and repair every small section of palisade every couple of days, I have a plot of land in the middle of nowhere and there's only one of me to maintain it. And given how prone palisade is to vandalism, and the new costs of glue, ropes, and leather for corner posts, the disadvantages of palisade far outweigh the advantages now.

Get rid of your palisade and tell me how that works out for you.

Don't forget that you only need the glue for the INITIAL post. After that, as long as you have ANY part of a palisade (even if it's only a single segment), you'll never need the glue/rope/leather for your wall again.

Also agreeing building decay is ridiculous (or at least the speed is), I don't even want to know what's going to happen if a house fully decays.

There's an awesome suggestion somewhere about the ability to create protection type rune stones that effectively put all your repair and maintenance overheads in the one spot. I highly recommend finding it and bumping it

I'll go grab three extra people, with high strength, and build a battering ram. Oh wait, I'll just wait a few days and it'll be gone all by itself.

Unless, of course, you want separate sections of palisade, or multiple gates in one (potentially very large) section of palisade.

bad trollz
Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make all of them yourself.
